Guillermo Pulido Gonzalez, graduated from the School of Economics of National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He got his PhD in Economics and Business Sciences from the University of Malaga, Spain. In 1980 he joined the UNAM where he has served at the Center of Foreign Students as associate professor Level “B”; as well as associate researcher Level “C” at the Research Center on North American Studies. He has been director of the UNAM campus in San Antonio, Texas (1988-2000); the Centre of Teaching for Foreigners of UNAM (2000-2008); and the UNAM branch in China/Centre on Mexican Studies (2012-2021). His work has contributed to the foundation of the campuses of UNAM in Gatineau, Canada (1995), Chicago, Illinois (2004), Los Angeles, California (2005) and Beijing, China (2012). Dr. Pulido has participated in several international forums in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Nicaragua, USA, Canada, Spain, England and China. From 2008 to 2010 he took the role of Counselor of Culture and Education in the Mexican Embassy to the People’s Republic of China. In 2011 he was a consultant of the Federal Institute of Access to Information for projects of Civil Rights of Mexican communities in the USA. Currently serves as director of UNAM at Chicago.
Erika Erdely Ruiz works as a full-time professor at the Center for Foreign Students (CEPE) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She earned both her master 's and doctoral degrees in Linguistics from UNAM and was honored with the Alfonso Caso Medal for academic excellence in both programs. She has been teaching Spanish as a foreign language for over 20 years and has trained graduate-level teachers for more than 15 years. Her research focuses on the semantics and pragmatics of lexical items, as well as the teaching of syntax. She is the author and coordinator of the textbooks "Así Hablamos, intermedio 3" and "Dicho y Hecho 7, español como lengua extranjera." Erika has been a member of the National Researchers System of CONACYT, the editorial committee of the journal Estudios de Lingüística Aplicada at UNAM and is currently a member of the editorial committee of the Decires journal at CEPE. She has worked as the Spanish coordinator at the Center for Mexican Studies in the United Kingdom, as part of a collaboration between UNAM and King's College London, and currently serves as the Academic Assistant Director at UNAM Chicago.
Mireya Navarro is a graduate of the Faculty of Accounting and Administration at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, where she also worked as a lecturer. She was a partner at the accounting firms Anaya Silva Navarro y Cia. and Kontable, S.C., where she worked as an accountant and prepared future professionals. She also taught at the University of the Center of Mexico. In the United States, she has worked in the accounting department of Neurosource, and since 2005, she has been working in the administration of UNAM Chicago.
