UNAM Chicago is in addition to the Week Education and Health of the Mexican Consulate

In the framework of the 8th Week of Education and Health, organized by the Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago, UNAM Chicago participates with three activities aimed at the welfare of the mexican community.

 

On 16 October, the teacher Nely Margarita González Serrano, a specialist in Human Nutrition, offered the conference “Health and Nutrition in an Environment Bi-national”, as part of the cycle, health Talk, which is transmitted by Facebook Live of the Consulate. In his speech, highlighted the challenges of food in the migrant population and the importance of education in health to prevent chronic diseases.

 

Also, 18 and 21 of October, students of the Spanish course with Community Service, worked as a volunteer at the Health Fair, and Education of the Consulate, by supporting revisions to the prevention of skin cancer and other diseases.

 

In addition, this 28th of October, is presented by Facebook Live for the high school distance of the UNAM.

 

With these actions, UNAM Chicago reinforces its commitment to the education, health and community service, for the benefit of the mexican community.
