Under the coordination of the UNAM Chicago, the UNAM School of Medicine, and the Consulate of Mexico in Chicago, the third program in the series "Let's Talk About Health: Dialogues with UNAM Specialists" was held. This edition was titled "I Know Myself and I Take Care of Myself: The Importance of Detecting Genital Infections." The talk was given by María Isabel Salazar Gómez and Dr. Daniela Cristina Vargas García from the Comprehensive Sexual Health Program at UNAM.
The "Let's Talk About Health: Dialogues with UNAM Specialists" program aims primarily to provide access to high-quality medical and scientific information in order to promote the well-being of our communities.
Additionally, last week, in coordination with Ambassador Claudia Franco Hijuelos, Consul of Mexico in Milwaukee, an important meeting was held with Dr. Elia Bruggeman, Deputy Superintendent of Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), the most prominent public school system in the state of Wisconsin. The meeting explored potential avenues for institutional cooperation between UNAM and MPS to benefit the Mexican and Spanish-speaking community in Milwaukee, WI.
