UNAM Chicago's in-person courses transform the city into a dynamic learning environment where participants develop their Spanish through direct engagement with Chicago's diverse Hispanic cultures and communities, as well as its neighborhoods, museums, cultural institutions, and community organizations.
Spanish with Community Service
Description:
Develop your Spanish through collaboration with organizations that support Chicago's diverse Hispanic communities. By participating in educational and community initiatives, you'll use the language in authentic settings, broaden your intercultural perspective, and discover how Spanish can build meaningful connections beyond the classroom.
Recommended levels: Intermediate and Advanced

Wednesdays, 5:30 to 7:30 p. m.

Mexican Language and Culture
Description:
Explore Mexico's history, traditions, arts, and contemporary life through discussions, cultural activities, and guided visits that connect classroom learning with Chicago's vibrant Mexican community. Each experience offers new perspectives while expanding your language skills and cultural understanding.

Spanish Summer Immersion Program
Description:
Turn Chicago into your Spanish classroom.
Develop your Spanish through guided cultural experiences across Chicago. Museums, neighborhoods, community spaces, and cultural activities become places to communicate naturally, build confidence, and experience Spanish as part of everyday life.

REGISTRATION
People interested in our courses must complete the registration form and an interview with one of our instructors. Participants with prior experience with Spanish are recommended to take the placement test.
Interviews are scheduled by appointment. The access code for the registration form and placement exams are sent after booking the interview.
