As a reflection of the shared commitment between UNAM Chicago and Chicago Public Schools to offer academic and cultural resources that promote educational equity, strengthen cultural identity, and support academic success in diverse and multilingual environments, two impactful Open Educational Resources (OER) for high school students were presented on September 24th to 125 dual program coordinators from CPS high schools.

Descarga Cultura UNAM, featuring the section “Voices for High School,” was presented by Professor Myrna Ortega Morales, Secretary of Outreach and Digital Projects at Cultura UNAM. Additionally, the Learning Support Units (UAPA), part of the Online High School program and the online preparation program for Medicine, Veterinary and Architecture were introduced by Dr. Guadalupe Vadillo, Director of Distance High School B@UNAM.

Both presenters shared with the coordinators the scope and potential of each resource, reinforcing the UNAM Chicago–CPS partnership and its positive impact on students, families, and educators.
